Andromeda Han (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based yoga and meditation instructor. The first child of Chinese immigrants, she has always been informed by both eastern and western philosophies of health and healing.
Andromeda fell very quickly and deeply in love with yoga as a mentally and physically drained art student, and in 2015, during a particularly stressful stint in NYC's fashion design industry, she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Tattva/Area Yoga under the guidance of senior instructors Keri Setaro and Paula Loose. She soon found herself teaching at several boutique studios throughout Brooklyn as well as festivals around the country and worldwide. She has continued to deepen her understanding of the art of teaching yoga and meditation, completing advanced trainings with world renowned teachers, including restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky and meditation with Will Duncan. She has also studied trauma informed yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, and yin yoga. You can find her at her weekly public classes as well as specialized workshops, sound healing sessions, and international retreats. Her teaching draws from yogic and Buddhist philosophy, eastern medicine, and her interest in the intersection of science and spirituality. She strives to empower those around her to practice self-care as a radical act of resistance. |
"No pressure, total acceptance, and grace."
"Andromeda is an outstanding teacher. She is technically skilled, student centered, and her sequencing is clear and accessible for yogis of every level. She is a thoughtful and nurturing person with a deep understanding of the eight limbs of yoga. Her wry sense of humor, excellent music, insightful comments, and hands-on adjustments make her classes a pleasure. Andromeda is one of the special people I have met on my yoga journey and I consider it a privilege to call myself her student."
-- Stephen, Brooklyn "A deep knowledge of alignment and sequencing, plus her delightfully goofy sense of humor.... I love Andromeda's Sunday night class. No matter how battered and cranky I feel coming in, I leave feeling perfectly stretched and serene. Active, not aggro; restorative, not boring. It's the perfect way to close out the week."
